Our Story
We are locally owned three generation business dedicated to the Montgomery area.
1923:
At the age of 20, our grandfather Joe G. Hruby bought out a blacksmith shop, located where the current-day Montgomery Library stands.
1932:
John Deere Company offered Joe an implement business. Joe and his wife Betty raised a family and continued to build a business that was an asset to the Montgomery area.
1963:
Joe and Betty's son Clarence and his wife Dorothy made a commitment to the Montgomery area and built a facility to house the growing John Deere business.
1992:
With Clair and Dot approaching retirement, it was decided to act on a thought of Dorothy's - take the shed that stored the farm machinery and convert them into individual self-storage.
Today: What started with five storage units has now turned into over 200 units.
